The Robotica Level 2 Arduino Starter Kit is a complete hardware bundle built around the Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller board, designed for makers who have moved past basic tutorials and want to build powered, autonomous robotics projects. Rather than a single sensor or module, it’s a pre-matched set of the core subsystems a rolling robot needs: a brain, a power supply, and a motor driver.

Power is handled by an 18650 lithium-ion cell setup fitted with a rocker switch, giving the robot an onboard, rechargeable, disconnectable power source instead of relying on a wall adapter — a requirement for anything that needs to move freely. Motor control runs through an L298N Dual H-Bridge driver, which lets the Arduino switch and reverse two DC motors independently, enabling forward, reverse, and differential-steering (turn-in-place) behavior.

The Arduino Uno R3 itself acts as the programmable core, reading sensors and driving the L298N’s control pins according to whatever logic the builder programs — line following, obstacle avoidance, remote control, etc. A USB cable is included for both programming the Uno and, on many setups, initial power during development.
