The VL53L0X is a next-generation Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging module,
housed in the smallest package on the market. Unlike conventional infrared sensors that measure
reflected light intensity, the VL53L0X measures the actual travel time of light
to calculate distance. This ensures precise distance mapping regardless of the target’s color,
reflectivity, or surface texture, making it far superior to standard IR and ultrasonic sensors.
