Description
The CD4009 is a hex buffer from the 40xx series CMOS logic family. This device contains six independent non-inverting buffers designed for logic-level conversion and driving high-capacitance loads. The CD4009 is commonly used as an interface between low-current logic outputs and high-capacitance lines, or as a level translator between different logic families.
Each buffer implements a non-inverting function with enhanced output current capability compared to standard CMOS gates. The device operates over a wide supply voltage range and offers the typical CMOS benefits of low static power and high noise immunity. Typical applications include bus driving, clock distribution, and interfacing CMOS logic to TTL or other logic families.
