The MPU6500 is a high-performance 6-axis motion tracking sensor that combines a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer in a compact module. It provides precise angular velocity and acceleration data, ideal for drones, robotics, motion control, and gesture detection applications.
This module supports both I²C and SPI communication and operates on 3.3V–5V (with onboard regulator).
⚠️ Note: The MPU6500 does not include a magnetometer—for full 9-axis motion tracking, consider the MPU9250.
Key Features:
-
6-DOF Motion Sensor (3-axis gyro + 3-axis accel)
-
Selectable range: ±2/4/8/16g (accel), ±250/500/1000/2000°/s (gyro)
-
Built-in Digital Motion Processor (DMP)
-
Onboard voltage regulator (3.3V–5V compatible)
-
I²C and SPI interfaces
-
Compact design for easy integration
-
Ideal for drones, robots, and wearable projects
